Meet Virgil, a big, goofy cat with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! This silly guy loves to run around, chase toys, and have fun, but his true passion lies in food—he’s always on the lookout for his next snack. Virgil’s known for his counter-surfing antics, grabbing whatever tasty morsels he can get his paws on when he thinks no one’s watching! He’s a loving and affectionate companion who adjusts quickly to new surroundings, making him a great addition to any home. Virgil is also very social and would do well with other pets, especially if they’re up for a little playful mischief. Virgil is one of our special needs cats. He is on a daily medication called fluoxetine to reduce stress, and prescription urinary food as he was diagnosed with feline idiopathic cystitis. When Virgil came to the shelter, he was suffering from a severe urinary tract infection which we have been slowly working on resolving with weeks of antibiotics. Virgil will need to continue on fluoxetine and urinary food for the rest of his life. Virgil will require a home that can provide regular veterinary care for him, and routine wellness visits to ensure his urine infections remain clear.
